Oceans of Opportunity Gala

Each year the Boys & Girls Clubs of Long Beach hosts one of the city's premier charity events. On Saturday, May 20th, 2017, our annual Gala Dinner & Auction will be held. Our goal is to provide our guests a real party - with fine dining, entertainment, and a live and silent auction - so that as guests contribute, they have fun doing it!

This is our largest annual fund-raising event, from the financial perspective and in terms of participation and publicity. We are anticipating that 500+ guests will enjoy a wonderful evening. All net proceeds from the gala will go directly to support programs for the kids.

Entertainment by Kelley James

Kelley James is an American singer-songwriter from Los Altos, California. James has toured nationally and played with acts such as O.A.R., the Goo Goo Dolls, and Weezer, as well as toured internationally in Australia. He is a regular performer at PGA Tour events including the Birds Nest at the Phoenix Open, Farmers Insurance Rock Ball in San Diego, HP Byron Nelson Pavilion After Dark in Dallas, the NetJets Masters party in Augusta. James is a close friend of San Francisco Giants pitcher Barry Zito, and the two have shared the stage to perform together for Zito's Strikeouts for Troops charity.
