It's our 45th Anniversary!!

The Board of Directors cordially invites you to a festive evening celebrating 45 years of providing comprehensive services to isolated, low-income and homeless seniors in the heart of the city.

The gala will feature delicious food and libations ~~ reception, dinner, live music, an exhilarating live auction presented by Curry Board Member and Bay Area news personality, Diane Dwyer, along with many wonderful silent auction items and other surprises.

We are also thrilled to welcome members of the Bay Area Rainbow Symphony for a special performance in honor of this occasion.

Please join us for an "After-Party" in the gorgeous Pavillion Room ~~ unwind, continue conversations, let loose and dance to live music performed by the Horns A Plenty Brass Band.

A primary goal of the Helping Hands Healing Hearts gala is to honor those who have made our community stronger and healthier through their efforts. We do this annually with three awards named after historic and iconic change-makers for Curry Senior Center:

Twitter will receive the Dr. Francis J. Curry Award for its leadership promoting access to technology and hosting community events throughout the Civic Center neighborhood.

Shirley Quitugua, Vice President of Bank of Guam, will receive the Joseph Mignola, Jr. Award for her tireless efforts promoting volunteerism, board and committee leadership, program innovation, and financial support.

Betty Traynor, President, Board of Directors at Senior and Disability action, will receive the Vera Haile Dalenberg Award for her advocacy benefitting seniors and adults with disabilities and helping to revitalize the Tenderloin's Boedekker Park.
