Night of the Stars 2016

"Horse Power" is the theme of NIGHT OF THE STARS '16, CKRH's signature annual fundraiser, which features cocktails, dinner, and Silent and Live Auctions. The highlight is the presentation of CKRH students and therapy horses wearing elaborate themed costumes created by volunteer Shirley Gentry. The highest bidder for each horse gains a year's sponsorship of that horse, along with a commemorative photo and plaque.

"This is the 13th NIGHT OF THE STARS, and those who attend year after year and first-time guests tell us the event is the most unique combination of dining and entertainment they have experienced in the Lexington area," said CKRH Executive Director Pat Kline. "NIGHT OF THE STARS showcases CKRH, our horses, our volunteers and our students, and guests go home knowing the program is making a difference in many lives."

Each year at NIGHT OF THE STARS, groups of friends and business associates team up to form syndicates to purchase a horse sponsorship in the Live Auction. That way, members of the group share the cost of the purchase while they share the rewards of helping CKRH.

Live and Silent Auction items include trips; paintings and photography; furniture; Chinese antiques; jewelry; tickets to special events and family-friendly attractions; halters worn by famous Thoroughbreds; children's clothing and toys; gift certificates to popular area restaurants and businesses; items for equestrians; items for the home and garden; and a wide range of unique keepsakes. Online bidding on Silent Auction items will be available.

Tonight - as "Horse Power" is presented to you in many ways - we hope our hardworking horses, riders and volunteers bring you joy.
