The McGaw YMCA Annual Gala will be held Saturday, January 20, 2018 at 1000 Grove Street in Evanston. This signature fundraiser has been reimagined into an elegant cocktail lounge-style atmosphere intended to cultivate a sense of warmth and connectedness amongst McGaw Y members, supporters and staff. The new, fresh and contemporary setting will no longer include a seated meal and paddle-raise auction, but instead will feature creative food, drinks and a silent auction.
New this year, ABC 7 Chicago Weekend News Anchor Ravi Baichwal, a longtime McGaw Y member and Evanston resident, will serve as the evening's master of ceremonies. The event will honor volunteer leaders who have been remarkably generous with their time, advocacy and financial support. Rose and Bob Johnson, together with Catherine and Bart Rocca, will be recognized for their longstanding commitment to strengthening the McGaw Y and the entire Evanston community. The McGaw YMCA Annual Gala is once again supported by lead sponsor Northwestern University.
