Nike and Jason Sudeikis have a long-standing relationship - just watch Season 3 of Ted Lasso, which also marked the launch of a Nike AFC Richmond collection.
Earlier this year, Jason Sudeikis visited Nike World Headquarters on Just Do It Day, when employees and friends of the brand came together for the ultimate celebration of sport. Jason invited his high school best friends to meet Tinker Hatfield, Nike's Vice President, Creative Concepts, who has earned global recognition for imagination and innovation designing iconic shoes for Nike and the Jordan Brand.
Tinker was inspired by Jason and his friend's love of Nike, sneakers and their home state. Drawing upon these themes, Nike and Jason partnered to create an exclusive sneaker and one-of-a-kind silhouette which was inspired by the iconic Air Jordan 1.
Rooted in Nike's and Jason's love of storytelling, the colors highlight the beauty of Kansas through its unique sky and wheat fields; and nuanced messaging on the shoe pay homage to Jason and his friend's hometown of Overland Park, Kansas.
While not commercially available, we will be auctioning a pair of the shoe to benefit Steps of Faith. Nike and Steps of Faith have a joint commitment in removing barriers to enable movement, through sport and everyday life.
