• About the Exhibit: Bespoke Bodies explores prosthetic design and its critical role in humanizing new technologies for individuals living with limb loss or limb difference. The exhibition also features objects from the National WWI Museum and Memorial's collection of artifacts from the Great War - a pivotal time in the field of prosthetics. Please note Bespoke Bodies: the Design & Craft of Prosthetics closes April 7, 2024.
• About the Author: Lindsey Roy is a Steps of Faith Board member and author of a brand new book, The Gift of Perspective. Lindsey has experienced unique challenges in her life, including a leg amputation from a traumatic boating accident and a rare disease leading to a double lung transplant. These experiences, coupled with her natural gifts for speaking and writing, have transformed into a passion to tell her story in the hopes of helping others tackle whatever obstacles life throws at them.
