The $400,000 valued sire of this mating, EXAR Cover The Bases 0819B, was the top-selling bull of the Express Ranches Spring 2022 Bull Sale when half interest sold for $200,000 to Pollard Farms. This phenotypic favorite at ORIgen has been described as a "different kind of high marbling Angus bull" with a moderate frame size, exceptional depth and volume and a fleshing ability one would not expect from a bull with his carcass EPD profile. His first calves are coal black and made awesome, making them the standout sire group in many of the top registered herds across the county. Early genomic results indicate his progeny will cultivate his impressive genetic predictors for profit adding traits.

The donor dam of this mating, H P C A Quantum S479, was Pollard's $13,000 selection from the 2021 Soaring Eagle of the Ozarks Elite Heifer Guest Sale, and offers an outstanding growth, carcass, $B and $C combination.

S479 is a maternal sister to the $500,000 Riverbend Ranch donor, Sure Fire P245 sired by the foundation carcass sire in the Daltons on the Sycamore, Big Timber and Select Sires herd sire rosters, Quantum.

The grand-dam of this mating is a foundation member of the Hinkles Prime Cut and Sawyer Creek Ranch joint embryo programs and is one of the breed's top producing daughters of the foundation female sire, Sunrise.

Quantum S349, a full sister to the dam of this mating, was the $21,000 top-selling open heifer of the 2020 Hinkle Sale and was selected by Riverbend Ranch.
