Churro Class with El Merkury for 6

El Merkury started as a dream project that quickly evolved into a reality. Today, we're a Central American street food
staple in the Philadelphia foodie scene with big dreams of bringing our community together through food. The early El Merkury days were filled with fun catering events and pop-up events around the city where we got to share our Central American street food delicacies with bigger and bigger crowds. In 2018, we were able to snag a brick-and-mortar in the
heart of Philadelphia's immensely popular Rittenhouse Square neighborhood. And, in 2021 we opened in the historic Reading terminal Market.

Our churro class is a perfect way to create and enhance a good work environment, creating a collaborative moment between all the company employees. Throughout the class, everyone can unleash their creativity, transforming churro dough into their favorite shape and then decorate it with their favorite selection of sprinkles and sauces.

First, all the churro class students will be greeted with a cup of Guatemalan hot chocolate before the class starts. During the churro class, we will teach the process of making churros from scratch. We will start by showing how to make the dough and a little bit of the churro history at El Merkury. Then, we'll distribute the dough among everyone so that everyone can make their own churro in the shape they like the most (letters, flowers, etc). Then, we'll fry the churros and after that, everyone will decorate them with the sauces and toppings of their choice.

We would recommend wearing something comfortable and according to the activity. Also, it's ideal to wear non-slip shoes and long pants. We will provide all the aprons needed for the churro class participants.
