One lucky individual will be an Honorary "Firefighter for a Day" with the Phoenix Fire Department. Spend a memorable day doing something that a lot of people only dream about! You will be authorized to ride along as a crewmember on a front line, first responder Engine Company. As a member of that Engine Company, you will know first-hand the excitement and anticipation of responding to fire and emergency medical calls. The winner will be taking part in the experience of being a firefighter for a six-hour shift as well as enjoy fellowship with the Phoenix Fire Department family. Lunch is provided, fire houses are famous for good chow! Be sure to wear jeans, a tee shirt that you won't mind getting dirty, and a pair of comfortable, closed-toed shoes!

Additionally, enjoy the thrill of a lifetime for you and a guest as you join the City of Phoenix Police Department to observe the inner workings of one of our Nation's finest police departments. Spend some time in the Department's Communications Bureau with a 9-1-1 operator and hear emergencies as they happen. Visit the Crime Lab and learn how science captures criminals. Finally, visit the Police Academy facility and the Specialty Vehicles garage.
