ARTIST BIO & STATEMENT:

Renata Rodrigues is a Brazilian artist known for her captivating acrylic paintings on wood. From small canvases to large murals and public art, Renata's artistic range knows no bounds. Her art goes beyond visuals; it's a narrative journey, turning client ideas into emotion-evoking masterpieces.

I am Renata Rodrigues and my main inspiration is nature. Ever since I can remember I was interested in paintings of humans and animals together, the anatomy we can see and the many ways a face can change. The bond between us is something that has always fascinated me. As a child, I lived by the Atlantic forest and I had many pets. I remember always having a sense of belonging. They made me feel like I am part of this universe. Portraying these emotions onto canvas makes me happy.

When I paint, I use diluted acrylics, transforming colors as I paint layers upon layers, using delicate glazes to create depth and luminosity, as if I'm meditating. You will find different materials, mixed media and styles in my portfolio. When I am not creating for "myself", I am painting fine art commissions or murals. I absolutely love bringing the client's ideas to life, it is fulfilling and invigorating to my art journey.
