Grown in a prehistoric riverbed that sits on the top of Atlas Peak, this Dijon 115 clone channels the dense and raw power of the mountain with the elegance and purity of this marvelous fruit. Dark black cherries, red plums, cola, incense, wet earth, and violets meld effortlessly into a lush palate full of ripe cherries, freshly picked plums, wet slate, and exotic spices. The mid-palate is rich and round, with layers of wild black raspberries and spiced Bing cherries that continue to evolve and expand with time in the glass, playing perfectly against a backdrop of crushed gravel, dried flowers, and hints of cherry cream. Combining a focused concentration and supreme elegance, this wine highlights the spectacular 2021 vintage while paying homage to Napa's Pinot Noir pedigree.

Two Bottles of the Rockmere 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon

Across the valley, Napa's 2019 vintage for Cabernet is showcasing notes of both black and red fruit. Rockmere's 2019 is no different - layering blackcurrant and blackberry with red cherry. Hints of sage, rosemary, and lavender complement the fruit character nicely thanks to the vineyard's rocky soil.

The wine also maintains a firm structure while added time in French oak barrels (28 months), provides a long, velvety finish. Similar to last year's bottling, the '19 will thrive in the cellar for 15-20 years. However, no fear, the wine opens beautifully as soon as it's uncorked!

One Bottle of 2018 Rockmere Cabernet Sauvignon

The 2018 Cabernet showcases a signature black fruit profile. Black raspberry and black cherry are perfectly layered with floral and dark spice notes. These notes come from the vineyard's cooler climate and rocky soil.

The wine's graceful structure makes it particularly food friendly. We suggest pairing with braised meat dishes, filet mignon, or lamb. For a lighter pairing, we suggest seafood such as swordfish or tuna.
