Winner receives a two-hour pétanque experience at Carreau Club good for up to 8 people. Includes court and equipment rental, private seating area, a pétanque guide to teach everyone the game and assist throughout the experience, and some welcome snacks. Drinks, additional food, tax, and tip not included.

Petanque is a "boules" sport in the same family as bocce, curling, shuffleboard, and horseshoes. The object of the game is to score points by getting your boule closer to the target than your opponent.

The game originated in the south of France but is played all over the world from Thailand to Madagascar, Senegal to Canada, and here in the heart of Brooklyn.

The Carreau Club is the first of its kind in the United States-a 'boulebar' focusing exclusively on the exciting game of petanque.

The space features 9 indoor and 4 outdoor courts for casual recreation, private parties, and league play; a comprehensive beer, wine and spirits program; and a fast casual food concept.

Wednesday we organize a FREE melee tournament for all skill levels. Starts at 7pm!!

Fun Fact: The target ball in Petanque is called the cochonnet which is French for "piglet".
