Relish the specter of unstoppable growth when you own this unique freestanding drawing-object by Las Vegas artist Chad Scott. During the early days of the pandemic, Scott invited his friends to send him plant clippings from their homes in return for a hand-drawn portrait of the same plant. Three years later he's still cultivating his clippings and recording their growth with dense concentrations of pen marks. This particular two-sided drawing-object depicts a Monstera adansonii, also known as a Swiss cheese plant.

Plant Clipping 1 (3 years), 2023
Two-sided drawing-object of a Monstera adansonii (Swiss cheese) plant clipping. Plant Clipping 1 (3 years) is from a project started in 2020 when I invited friends to participate in an art for plant clipping exchange project. Participants provided a plant clipping from their house or garden in exchange for a drawing-object of the clipping. Each plant clipping is cared for in my home, and documentation of their growth continues.
The drawing comes with a custom display stand.

Now, let's talk about fairness and honesty. We want to create a level playing field for everyone involved. So, we kindly request that you resist any temptation to engage in shill bidding. Our goal is to ensure a transparent and enjoyable experience for everyone, where the highest genuine bidder is the one who walks away with the prize.
You may be asked to provide your payment method and shipping address during bidding. This allows us to streamline the transaction if you win the auction. Just a heads up, though, once you place a bid, it's a commitment to purchase the item if you come out on top. So, please bid responsibly!
While we strive to capture the true essence of our artwork in the photos, it's important to remember that colors may appear slightly different in person. Therefore, we recommend referring to the photos and descriptions for the most accurate representation.
Now, here's some essential information to make your auction purchase a breeze:
