The Annual Vince Lombardi Award of Excellence Dinner recognizes an individual who captures the spirit of commitment and pursuit of excellence, which define legendary Coach Vince Lombardi and the Vince Lombardi Cancer Foundation. This year's honoree, Pat Connaughton, has the same desire as the foundation to prevent cancer, provide the best care to those fighting it, and find a cure. Funds raised during the event support cancer research and treatments.

Pat Connaughton is a two sport professional athlete and NBA Champion, who was selected in the MLB draft in 2014 and NBA draft in 2015. He currently plays for the Milwaukee Bucks. Connaughton is also Co-Founder and CEO of real estate development company, Three Leaf Partners, connecting professional athletes with business executives through the vehicle of real estate. Connaughton started the Pat Connaughton Foundation in 2016 and uses its three pillars - clinics, courts, and character to carry out its mission of increasing the access to athletics for the next generation of student athletes.

He is an excellent example of how the next generation of athletes are investing in communities where they live, work and play. These are just a few of the countless reasons he has been selected as the 33rd Award of Excellence honoree.

At this year's dinner, we also will honor VISIT Milwaukee President and CEO Peggy Williams-Smith. She will be receiving the 2024 Sileno Kriete Award for her steadfast dedication to the Vince Lombardi Cancer Foundation. Throughout her tenure on the foundation's board of directors, she helped guide our aggressive goals to fight cancer in Coach Vince Lombardi's honor. Under her leadership as event co-chair from the mid 2000s to 2023, the Vince Lombardi Award of Excellence Dinner has wowed attendees with its honorees and raised more than $1 million for cancer research, treatments and care.
