More about our head pastamaker extraordinaire: Renzo's culinary journey began in the bustling kitchen of his family's Bed and Breakfast, where he honed his skills from a young age. With a diverse background that includes stints as an army lieutenant, professional water polo player, and lifeguard coach and safe beach inspector across Italy, Renzo's path eventually led him to the vibrant restaurant scene of San Francisco. Along the way, he has worked in, managed, and even owned several esteemed eateries in the Bay Area. Notably, his visa sponsorship came courtesy of acclaimed filmmaker Francis Ford Coppola, under whose restaurant banner he once proudly served. Renzo's culinary philosophy is simple yet profound: crafting exceptional food requires the perfect blend of passion, fresh sustainable ingredients, a motivated team eager to learn, and a community of food enthusiasts craving memorable dining experiences.
