Yard Crop will create and plant a curated selection of locally grown organic herbs into half of a "retired" oak wine barrel, donated by Marcari Vineyards. These sturdy and handsome vessels recycle into excellent long lasting, all-weather outdoor planters that can be planted and enjoyed for many years.

The herb planter will be delivered and planted to winning bidders home May 2024.

Paul and Kirsten are the husband and wife co-founders of Yard Crop. Paul was first trained by his father, an avid gardener, as a young child. He revels in the unending process of learning what the garden provides. Paul has recently completed the Master Gardener course from Oregon State University. What started out as a childhood hobby quickly became a lifelong passion and now a mission to help other people benefit from the glories of the home vegetable garden. In 2014, Kirsten became enthralled by the process of growing homegrown food and the excitement of sharing that joy with their children, friends, and family via their dinner table. Kirsten manages our growing Yard Crop community while supporting the needs of the North Fork community at large. Paul and Kirsten live in Southold with their two young daughters, who thoroughly enjoy getting their hands dirty and harvesting in their own home garden.
