Discover the secrets to mastering your audition at every stage of your journey. Whether you're dreaming of landing that coveted dance or musical theater role, seeking acceptance to a prestigious academy or school, or aiming to become a revered company member, I will guide you through the audition process with experience, wisdom and grace.
The class kicks off with an inspiring musical theater dance class. Please come dressed in your best audition attire to fully immerse yourself in the experience and make the most of this fantastic opportunity. During this class, students will learn different ways to pick up and retain choreography, tips on how to stand out and get noticed in an audition and what to do when dealing with with common situations involving the anxiety's and nerves surrounding the audition process from well before to after the cast list goes up.
After the class, Beth will share her own experiences throughout her own audition experiences over the years. A chance to give real insight, useful information and positive inspiration to boost confidence. To end the class there will be a Q and A discussion that will give the students a chance to ask questions, get answers, take notes and even share their own personal experiences, triumphs, and challenges faced throughout their own audition journey.
Beth DeVito Mondzelewski
Ms. Mondzelewski was chosen to apprentice at 16 years of age with the Colorado Ballet. She then moved to Denver to join the company under the direction of Martin Friedman. After a short time as an apprentice, she became a proud member of the corps de ballet. She had the opportunity to perform in Denver and tour with company in full length classical and contemporary ballets. Ms. Mondzelewski danced professionally for several years until returning to Philadelphia to attend college where she received her BA in Fine Arts from the University of the Arts. For the past 20 years she has dedicated her life to performing, choreographing, and teaching in the PA, DE, and NJ areas. She now focuses her talent in the studio where she has the knowledge and experienc to connect with all students, young children through professional, in all genres of dance. The Dance Center welcomes Ms. Mondzelewski to our faculty as she is a seasoned teacher whose goal is to provide a high level of technique with a strong focus on implementing confidence in young dancers.
