MIX IT UP! Through the discussion of the structure of the entire vocal apparatus, learn practice techniques to smooth out your passaggi (vocal break-points) to find the perfect head/chest mix. Also learn how to apply these techniques to your repertoire!

MAGGIE RIKER
Maggie was most recently seen on stage in Mary Poppins at SALT Performing Arts in the role of Mrs. Banks. Maggie made her SALT Mainstage debut as Older Sandra in Big Fish and was a Backstage Vocalist in the recent production of A Chorus Line. Maggie has performed in a wide variety of operas, musicals, cabarets, oratorios, and concerts including Mozart's The Magic Flute (Queen of the Night), Verdi's La Traviata (Violetta), The Music Man (Marian), Oklahoma! (Laurie), and Little Shop of Horrors (Audrey). Maggie was a Regional Finalist in the Metropolitan Opera National Auditions, won the Bel Canto Scholarship, the Opera Columbus Competition, and received an Award from the Gerda Lissner Foundation. Maggie is the VP of Sales & Marketing for a company serving first responders and family life. Recently, Maggie sang Mimi in Puccini's La Bohème with Lancaster Opera, Adele in Die Fledermaus with Berks Opera, and joined the Opus One Choir and Orchestra for the American Premier of Ralph Vaughan Williams work The Garden of Proserpine. Maggie has enjoyed performing as a guest artist in concerts with Lyric Fest in Philadelphia and the Pennsylvania Philharmonic.

NICHOLAS BURBO
Nicholas is a renowned Music Director and Artist. Music direction credits include Jekyll & Hyde, Big Fish, Cinderella (2013), The Music Man, Into the Woods, Seussical the Musical, The Wizard of Oz (MUNY), Elf the Musical, Les Misérables, and 13! The Musical. As an avid pianist and conductor, Nicholas has performed in regional, collegiate, community, and high school theater pit orchestras. Credits include Big Fish, Jekyll & Hyde, Seussical the Musical, Aspects of Love, The Music Man, Legally Blonde, Into the Woods, Singin' in the Rain, Annie, The Phantom of the Opera, and Footloose. Nicholas also instructs musical theater classes with Stagelight, having music directed over 25 productions. Outside of theater, Nicholas serves as Director of Music Ministries at Lima United Methodist Church. He is currently wrapping up his undergraduate studies at West Chester University's Wells School of Music. At WCU, he performs with numerous choral and instrumental ensembles, including the Concert Choir, where he serves as president and tenor section leader. Nicholas has achieved several academic and musical accolades during his time at WCU. In 2023, he was recognized for his excellence in music theory by being named a Presser Scholar.
