End Paper, 2023, Pate de Verre Glass, 7 3/4 x 9 1/2 x 1/4 inches

Image Description:

Pictured here is marbled paper used in book making, recreated in glass. Pate de verre (or "glass pastes") is a glass casting technique which imitates the look of precious stones and was used in ancient Mesopotamia to fool and impress the elite. I've used the uniquely opaque and stone-like appearance of pate de verre to concretize ephemera, notes, or drawings not made to last the test of time.
