Artists Dennis Friel and Derek Redwine Collaborate for iCast Event, Planting Hope for Water Conservation with the CCA

In Orlando, July 11-14, 2023 - Artists Dennis Friel and Derek Redwine joined creative forces for this year's iCast event. The two started and have now completed a collaborative painting to produce funds for the Coastal Conservation Association (CCA), a platform aimed at spotlighting and taking action for clean water initiatives and coastal fisheries preservation. The proceeds from their collaborative masterpiece will directly contribute to the planting of red mangroves, oysters, clams, and redfish releases, among other vital restoration efforts. This unique initiative seeks to preserve and protect our waterways and oceans for future generations.

Throughout their storied professional careers, Derek and Dennis have continually pioneered causes utilizing their creative efforts in the name of sustainable fisheries and coastal preservation. With the support and partnership of Papa's Pilar Rum and Star brite Solutions, they hope to make a difference by auctioning off a masterful work of art and truly becoming Connected By Water .

These creative friends captivated audiences at the event by painting it live and blending their two unique artistic styles onto a canvas measuring approximately 30 inches by 30 inches. The marine piece will be available for auction to the highest bidder, ideally someone who appreciates both artists' exceptional talent and shares their commitment to safeguarding our precious aquatic environments. The collaborative artwork features a fusion of inshore and offshore saltwater species, along with a few intriguing surprises. Through their artistic expression, Dennis and Derek aim to inspire viewers to recognize the importance of conservation and the interconnectedness of all marine life.
