These delectable desserts were made by a local award-winning chef.

Stop & Smell the Flours is a small, locally owned bakery, just south of Ames. Daphane, owner of Stop & Smell the Flours started seriously baking at 8 years old. Her love for helping in the kitchen & baking, started with helping her grandma Nancy in the kitchen the day before Christmas. She would take a chair & scoot it as close to the counter as she could get it. Watching her grandma make toffee, cookies, etc. She soon learned the love that came from working long hours in the kitchen, preparing sweet treats for her loved ones. Soon after, Daphane would find herself competing in the Iowa State Fair. After 17 years, Daphane decided that it was time to expand her love for baking. In 2015, Stop & Smell the Flour was born. From cupcakes & cookies, to pies & cakes, to bars & cheesecakes...we have a variety of sweet treats in a variety of flavors. All of our sweets are freshly made, never frozen.

Ingredients: Flour, sugar, butter, vanilla, milk, eggs, baking soda, baking powder and powdered sugar. No peanuts.
