About the artist:


Tim studied illustration at Syracuse University, where he received a BFA in 2000, and received training in the Russian academic tradition at Bridgeview School of Fine Arts in New York. He studied drawing and painting at the Art Students League of New York with Mary Beth McKenzie, Michael Grimaldi, Leonid Gervits, Jack Faragasso, and Costa Vavagiakis. He also studied portraiture with Marvin Mattelson at SVA. In 2006, Tim spent a month studying at the Repin Academy in St. Petersburg, Russia. Tim recently completed the Drawing Year at Grand Central Atelier in NYC.
