These stunning pottery pieces were lovingly handcrafted by DRC's beloved board member, Felise Levine.

Felise created and generously donated these beautiful pieces to raise funds for research to cure type 1 diabetes (T1D) - the disease that she lived with for almost 60 years, and the disease that ultimately caused complications that took her life last month.

Felise was a remarkable and accomplished woman. In addition to her service on the Diabetes Research Connection (DRC) Board of Directors, Felise was a well-respected clinical psychologist and a pillar in the Del Mar community, serving in the past as President of Del Mar Community Connections and President of the San Diego Psychological Association.

This evening, we pay tribute to our beloved board member whose life and dedication to DRC's mission leaves an indelible mark on our hearts. Her absence is profoundly felt by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

In honor of her memory, we proudly present her exquisite ceramics as a special addition to our auction. They are Felise's parting gift and hopeful reminder for us to continue moving forward in our mission to create a world without type 1 diabetes.
