All the items in this basket are unique to Sonora, Mexico. The Bacanora is a traditional mescal made from an agave species that grows in the mountains of central Sonora. The plaque basket and Ironwood carving were made by the Seri Indians that live on the coast of Sonora. The basket that holds these Sonoran treasures is a Opata Indian basket made from a native palm species that grows in Sonora.
