One of a kind - forged and crafted to honor two Night Stalkers that paid the ultimate sacrifice.

The Dagger in this plaque was hand forged by SGM Jack Stottlemire (Ret) 1st SFOD-Delta (ABN) Fort Bragg, NC from the barrels of an M134D 7.62 Minigun that was recovered from a crashed MH-60M Direct Action Penetrator (DAP).

The Blade is a forge welded San Mai construction with the outer cladding of Minigun barrel. The inner core (cutting edge) being 1095 high carbon steel. .020 thousandths of an inch-thick layer of pure nickel separates the two alloys creating the bright silver line.

The handle is of a stacked leather design with black and red G10 spacers, the colors of the Night Stalkers. The guard and pommel are brass smelted with the addition of spent 7.62 brass.

Jack also made the leather sheath that rounds out this magnificent piece of Veteran Art from leather supplied by Wickett and Craig leather tannery.

The Walnut plaque was made by MSG Josh Avignone (Ret) of DOL Creations in Spring Lake, NC. Josh served in the Army both in Afghanistan and Iraq as a Special Forces Soldier with 3rd Special Forces Group, Fort Bragg, NC.

In memory of SSG Vincent P. Marketta and SGT Tyler M. Shelton. August 27, 2020.
