Wine Tasting & Dinner

Hemingway has rightly said that wine blends with the friends you want to share it with. This will be an elegant evening themed around exceptional wines from across the world paired with delightful dishes prepared by your host.

For this luxurious tasting, we start with...

2006 Pol Roger Cuvée Paul Roger's Winston Churchill

Winston Churchill's favorite. Churchill had a legendary thirst for Champagne most especially Pol Roger.

"My tastes are simple, I am easily satisfied with the best" - Sir Winston Churchill.

  • Served with Oysters and Caviar

2011 Meursault-Blagny 1ER CRU "La Genelotte"

In 1811, The Cherisey family purchased their first vineyard, the Genelotte parcel in the lost hamlet of Blagny, high in the hills overlooking both Puligny and Meursault. Two centuries and six generations later, the same family still works this parcel, a monopole solely in their hands after all this time.

  • Served with Soup

2008 Hundred Acre Wraith Cabernet Sauvignon

The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Wraith is one of those wines that would be a perfect example of the expression "iron fist in a velvet glove." Full-bodied, concentrated, and powerful, it has that classic 2018 frame that carries pure darker currant and cassis fruits as well as complex notes of leather, licorice, and spring flowers. One of California's (perhaps the world's) most flamboyant, talented,
contrarian wine producers is Napa Valley's Jayson Woodbridge, the owner of Hundred Acre winery. Woodbridge has been running in high gear since his debut in 2000.

  • Served with an Entree

2015 Bond Vecina Napa Bordeaux Blend
"Also pure perfection in a glass, the 2015 Vecina comes from an east-facing site located not far from the Harlan Estate. Totally thrilling notes of crème de cassis, lead pencil, barbecue, white chocolate, and spring flower notes all flow to a full-bodied, powerful wind that has building tannins, no sensation of weight, hints of background oak, and incredible intensity and length. It's a true "wow" wine that could not be better. Don't miss it!"

  • Served with an Entree

1957 Kopke Colheita Tawny Port

Taste history with the oldest brand of Port wine. Every wine tells a story. Kopke's Colheitas, however, tells a unique story. To taste a wine is to taste history and, in the case of this 1957 Coheita, it means remembering a remarkable event like the signature of the Treaty of Rome, which established the European Economic Community. Amber color with bright auburn nuances. Complex and
delicate nose, with resinous aromas well integrated with notes of almonds, honey, and confit orange. The sweet, elegant, and balanced palate, is well enveloped by the caramel hints. Soft and persistent finish.

  • Served with Dessert

Event will be hosted at the Donovan Residence on the 16th Hole for six (6) people.
