The Michigan Shines for Autism Gala Silent Auction is LIVE!
Whether you're joining us for this year's Michigan Shines for Autism Gala or not…all are invited to view & bid on the Silent Auction packages that are now LIVE at the link below.
You could win items such as game-day tickets for the Detroit Lions, Red Wings, and Tigers; family fun excursions; original artwork; race car driving experiences; getaway packages; musical and concert tickets; and MUCH more! All funds raised will support AAoM's mission of helping people with autism lead purposeful and fulfilling lives.
The auction will close bidding at 10 p.m. on Saturday, April 20.
Important Information:
- Winner is responsible for paying 6% sales tax on the fair market value of the package.
- All winners must be able to pick up their packages locally at our Southfield, MI office or on-site at the Gala. Night-of pickup is only available for registered guests of the event.
- Due to the high cost of shipping, AAoM will be unable to mail physical items to winners.
- The auction will close bidding at 10:00pm on Saturday, April 20, 2024.
- Winners will be notified via text and email and will be required to pay for their items at auction close.
Schedule of Events:
- 6:00pm: Registration & Reception in Sound Board
- 7:00pm: Dinner & Live On-Stage Program in Ballroom
- 9:00pm: Your Generation in Concert Live in Sound Board
- 12:00am: Event Concludes

Parking Information: You will see signage directing you to the appropriate parking lot across from the Sound Board doors. Guests are welcome to pull into the lot to use complimentary valet. Guests are also welcome to self-park in the lot.
Attire: This event is black-tie optional attire.
Check-in: All guests will be required to check into the event when they enter. There are no physical tickets for this event. Your information will be on a list at the door and will be validated by staff.

In 2023, the Center for Disease Control updated the autism prevalence statistic from 1 in 44 to 1 in 36. The nature of autism is ubiquitous. You likely cross paths with an autistic person every single day, often without even realizing it. Autism influences every facet of life-your neighborhood, your children's school, your workplace and so much more.
As we raise awareness and acceptance of those living with autism, we need to recognize it is a true "spectrum" disorder, which ranges from those who are profoundly affected and require the highest level of care to those who are able to advocate for themselves and live independently.
One thing we know for sure: Where there are people, there is autism; and where there is autism, there is Autism Alliance of Michigan (AAoM). Since our founding in 2009, AAoM has worked tirelessly to shed light on the challenges of living with autism while building bridges to critical resources and supports that have the ability to change the trajectory of someone's life.
