The fund we are requesting will be used to purchase kits for our K-8th grade Friday School Program. We will be using the kits to enhance STEM and STEAM objectives during the current year.

The funds that we are requesting will be used to purchase Kiwi Kits that suppport STEM and STEAM objectives. We will be focusing more on the engineering portion since that is something our students are not exposed to as much as the rest of the objectives of STEM and STEAM. Our desired outcome is that our children recieve more exposure to engineering through these kits. Due to our remote location on the very eastern edge of Colorado we don't have easy access to children's museum where they can have hands on experience with engineering activities. Our hope that it will spark interest in all of the children, especially with the older students, to consider a possible career in the field of engineering or a related field. It is also a way for our teachers to gain more knowledge of the engineering piece, and help to build their confidence in teaching this area of sciences.

We are a very small rural school in a farming community sitting on the far eastern edge of Colorado. The majority of our children qualify for free and reduced lunches.
