Tequila Juegos Mexicanos is the fruition of a multi-year project between the District 9 Ultras of The 3252 Supporters Union for LAFC and Nom 1459 Tequila Selecto de Amatitan. The recipe and process for
this special run were crafted by Certified Sommelier and D9U Leadership Council member
Jonathan Reimer. Each bottle sold donates to three charities, two are directly involved in the production of each bottle in Jalisco, the last here in Los Angeles. Only 500 bottles made. The proceeds of the sale of these bottles here in Los Angeles at Flask Fine Wines benefit the Mo Fascio Memorial Futsal Court to be built in Eastern Los Angeles. Mo was a founding member of the LAFC's 3252 Supporters Union and a proud leader of D9U. Mo was a proudly committed to service to his community working for the LA Dept of Health providing benefits to the unhoused population of Los Angeles.

The hand-painting done on each bottle is done by another charity involving low income single mothers, grandmothers and women with child care responsibilities. These individuals are empowered to return to the workforce, part time or full, with child care and supervision provided. This is one of the only formal opportunities for pre-K learning in the region and the only available without monetary investment.

These two charities are overseen and administered by Nom 1459 Tequila Selecto de Amatitan in partnership with a number of regulatory bodies in Mexico and across Latin America.

During his time with us, Mo organized and executed numerous community events and charities to benefit nearly every corner of our city. Sadly, Mo lost his battle with Covid-19 in 2021 after contacting the virus while helping the unhoused residents of LA gain early access to the vaccine. One that Mo himself was scheduled to receive two weeks after his death…

In honor of his memory and a commitment for that legacy to endure through the creation of a community field in his name, we are hoping to raise the funding to not only build, but staff children's sports education through the creation of the Mo Fascio Memorial Futsal Court in East Los Angeles. In creating this bottling, we hope the warm and inviting nature of this decedent beverage pay homage to a man who defined by warmth and kindness.

Aged: 21 days in French Oak cask previously containing Chardonnay from the Mersault region of Burgundy

Agave: 100% Blue Weber Agave, harvested at 7 years age in the Los Valles region of Tequila. The field used for this batch is located roughly 3 miles south of the city of Tequila.

Process: Agave were baked in stone ovens before a roller mill was used for maceration. Fermentation was done in stainless tank with a small addition of agave fiber. Two distillations in stainless pot with copper coils produced the final distillate that was cut with deep Jaliscan well water to arrive at 40% any 80 proof.
