Sarah Wilkes is a classically trained artist whose creative construction revolves around realism, abstract expressionism, and the blending of both. Wilkes disrupts her natural draw towards realism, captured in a limited, monochromatic color palette, by incorporating a strong, abstract, textured background, thereby making the subject the primary focal point and encouraging viewer connection and interpretation.

A Sewanee, Tennessee native, Wilkes holds a B.A. in Art, with a concentration in painting, from Wittenberg University. In addition, she has studied painting at The Kansas City Art Institute, The University of the South, and Pratt Institute in New York City. Wilkes's studio is on her farm in Leiper's Fork, where she also lives with her husband, Matt, their son, Jackson, and their two dogs, Boone and Bailey.

Technically "non-vintage", the term "Blend No 1920" on the label signifies that we blended 2019 vintage wine with 2020.
This unique blend is mostly Sangiovese, with some Petite Sirah and a little Cabernet Sauvignon added for complexity. We
blend these 3 grape varieties together to create a silky smooth, medium-bodied red wine with delicious red berry and vanilla
oak flavors. This is our most popular wine.

Style: fruit-forward, medium bodied, smooth finish

Arrington Vineyards first opened its doors on July 1, 2007. From the beginning, our goal has been to provide an enjoyable "wine country experience" among the hills of middle Tennessee. Our vineyards were originally established in 2003 when Kip Summers and a fellow wine enthusiast purchased a 25-acre hog farm and planted our first vines. In 2004, Kix Brooks purchased the cattle farm adjacent to the original vineyards, and the idea for "Arrington Vineyards" began to grow. The cattle farm included a farmhouse that was remodeled into our first tasting room and retail store which we nicknamed "The Lodge".
