COREY BROMAN was born in Lincoln, NE in 1979. He started working with glass shortly after high school in 1998. After initially working with Ed Fennel and several of his students at Crystal Forge in Omaha, NE, Corey joined the studio glass program at Hastings College to further his glassmaking education. There he became an apprentice and assistant to the professor of glass, Tom Kreager. Corey became involved in intensive Venetian-style glass making techniques, while collaborating with other glass artists at the college. In addition to Corey's time at Hastings, he has taken several workshops at the Corning Museum of Glass and other colleges and universities with glass programs. Each workshop focused on different techniques and skills that apply to glassblowing, glass sculpting, glass casting, and kiln forming. In 2003, Corey built his own glass studio in Omaha. He has shown his work privately and in gallery and museum exhibits primarily in the Midwest and on the west coast.
