CHRISTOPHER WILLIAMS is a visual artist from Fayetteville, Arkansas and is earning their Master of Fine Arts degree at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in Ceramics. They earned their BFA in Ceramics from the Kansas City Art Institute, and finished a two-year Post-Baccalaureate at the University of Arkansas. Christopher has spent time studying traditional fresco techniques and classical painting in Florence, Italy. They have exhibited work in Solo and Group exhibitions nationally, curated exhibitions in alternative exhibition spaces, and participated in various residencies in the Midwest. They are a story-teller through handbuilt ceramics, drawing, installation, performance, video and hand-drawn animation. Christopher's work deals with three major components: the vessel, the figure, and the botanical. Each constructed piece is an attempt to reconcile these bodies together to create an unbound fantastical narrative that is becoming a complicated world of desire and beauty.
