"I am interested in urban landscapes depicted from unexpected and atypical perspectives, such as one would see from the upper window of a several-story building. The selected vantage points are often familiar, but not noticed on a daily basis. As such, the experience is pleasantly jarring and invites the viewer into a dialogue of open-minded exploration of thought. The resulting introspection serves to move viewers outside their normal sphere of observation, thereby encouraging a more open-minded and creative awareness, and begin to view alternative perspectives as valuable and beautiful, regardless of preconceived ideologies, convictions, and belief systems. Therefore, the unique vantage point in my work becomes a powerful tool for personal growth and development."
