Chantelle Chapman
Watercolor
9" x 12"
Chantelle Chapman is a senior in the School of Art and Design at Kennesaw State
University, pursuing a dual BFA in Illustration and Painting & Drawing and a minor in Art
History. The daughter of a painter, Chantelle was born in the Smoky Mountains of North
Carolina, where she grew up surrounded by the beauty of art and nature. Her greatest
source of inspiration is the abiding passion for natural history that was kindled during
those early years.
Working in a variety of traditional media, from oil to ink to gouache, Chantelle uses her
art as a powerful storytelling tool: drawing upon the life histories of individual creatures
and species to craft compelling visual narratives, rich with allusion. Currently, she is
working on multiple projects on the theme of extinct and endangered birds, which she
hopes to publish in the future. Her work can be found on Instagram
@ChantelleChapman, and on her website, ChantelleChapman.com
