About the Cause
Town Title will donate all net proceeds to three outstanding beneficiaries at Hackensack Meridian Health: The Tackle Kids Cancer program at the Children's Cancer Institute at the Joseph M. Sanzari Children's Hospital; the Inserra Diabetes Research Institute at the Joseph M. Sanzari Children's Hospital; and the Caryl and Jim Kourgelis Foundation for Behavioral Health at the Hackensack Meridian Carrier Clinic.
As one of Tackle Kids Cancer's first corporate partners, support from past golf outings has helped the program expand its research and clinical services. Future contributions will provide support to Tackle Kids Cancer's two lab research programs at the Hackensack Meridian Center for Discovery and Innovation; to over 100 clinical trials being provided to the hospital's pediatric patients; and to the new programs the hospital is developing in the fields of solid tumors and gene therapy.
At Town Title, we also have a longstanding relationship with the Inserra family, and a deep connection to their efforts to support diabetes initiatives. The Inserra Diabetes Research Institute was established to fund research to find a cure for diabetes at the Joseph M. Sanzari Children's Hospital. With over 600 Type 1 diabetes pediatric patients, the pediatric diabetes program is vital in helping Hackensack Meridian's youngest patients manage their disease at an early age through services like telehealth education and consultations; access to nutritionists; and educational and psychological support.
The Hackensack Meridian Carrier Clinic is bringing much-needed substance use disorder treatment to northern New Jersey with the development of Retreat and Recovery at Ramapo Valley. This facility, which is being developed in large part thanks to the vision and support of Caryl and Jimmy Kourgelis, with whom Town Title enjoys a relationship, is already open and offering services for Intensive Outpatient Programming and Outpatient Programming. Phase 2 of this project will develop a 48-bed inpatient detox and rehabilitation facility, providing state-ofthe-art addiction treatment here at home in New Jersey. Funding directed to Retreat and Recover at Ramapo Valley will be used to support the capital costs associated with the development of the inpatient facility.
