THE PAINTER AND THE POET is the team of Perry & Tami Curtis Guy that has just released a new family book.

FINE FEATHERED FRIENDS includes illustrations of our favorite gulf coast birds by Tami with poems written for each illustration by Perry.

This project was commissioned by the Audubon institute of Mississippi and beach placards of the work were placed across the beaches of Mississippi in 2021.

Tami ( her fine art website is http://www.TamiCurtisStudios.com ) is a Southern artist with roots beginning in Leesville La. She recently moved her gallery from Magazine Street in New Orleans to Bay St Louis Ms where the couple currently resides.

Perry began in Kentwood La and has spent most of his days on or near the Gulf Coast and has a new album called The Mardi Gras Boat Parade and, now five books celebrating life on the Great Gulf Coast

The first of the Gulf Coast Classic series is ten short story beach poems called TREASURES IN THE SAND that is illustrated by Melissa Turk studios in New York.

The second of the series is A GULF COAST CHRISTMAS that is illustrated by Bridget Starr Taylor, one of the artists from the first book.

The third book of the series is THE MARDI GRAS BOAT PARADE which is illustrated by Tami.

The fourth book, THE GREAT GULF COAST SEAFOOD FESTIVAL, is fun fun for everyone. There are seafood recipes in the book that are traditional to the Gulf Coast that are being served up in contest by all of the colorful animated animal characters from the Gulf Coast.

Which brings us back to the fifth book, Fine Feathered Friends.

These are considered family books written for ages from three to one hundred and three, purposely written and illustrated to entertain all readers.
