Her works depict a mixture of all human feelings gathered in love, fears, fragility, faith, passion, romanticism, loneliness, warmth, hope, promises. Revealing the beauty of human interior. An endless list of sensations to be tasted in a blink. Leylis V. Burnette (Leylis MR.) was born in Ica, Peru in 1986. She received her bachelor's in art education (Visual Arts) from Servulo Gutierrez Art School Peru in 2006, concluding her studies with honorable mentions accomplishing a gold medal for graduating first in her class. Burnette artworks have been exhibited in her country and abroad such as The United States, Germany, Bolivia, Colombia, and Mexico, including shows at the Brazilian Embassy in Peru, Ministry of Cultural Affairs Peru, Institut Fur Alles Mogliche Germany, Latino Art Museum California, Agua Fuerte Gallery Mexico, and IX International Art Biennale SUBA Colombia, among others. Her works has been also featured in contemporary poetry and compilation of female artists works selection publications. Her passion for art is not limited to painting, she also embraced other disciplines like music, theater, poetry, Peruvian folkloric dance enriching her artwork inspiration in a philosophical interpretation. Burnette resides in Atlanta, where she continues her incessant effort as an artist and art educator.
