The Vernacular meaning it's influenced by multiple eras of design: The fiddle back resembles the Queen Anne period; the paw feet come from Chippendale influence. We know that the chair was made before the 1950's due to the use of horse hair for cushioning. With all this information in mind we can assume that the chair dates back to around the 19th century. This Vernaculr piece has been beautifully restored with quarter sawn oak wood and a soft leather seat.
