About the Artist: My name is Amy Rose- Weeqit Hanyawaat Rainmaker. I am an enrolled member of the Nez Perce (Nimiipuu) tribe. I have been beading/crafting for over 30 years. My Tota (father) taught me at a young age to love & honor my culture & heritage. He taught me to bead, dance, sing, & drum. I try to incorporate traditional elements into most of what I make, bone, claws, teeth, sinew, & buckskin because that's what's been used for thousands of years & it's becoming a lost art.
