The collection of images that form the work 'Re-Vamped' ( 2020 - ongoing ), is an observation of a generation of mixed thoughts and practices. This generation is timeless. It evolves, adapts, indulges and walks with its collective idea of uniqueness. This is a generation that believes in the old as well as the new, trying to strike a balance within its mind and learning to talk from the source of its thought. I see the hybrid generation simultaneously putting its faith in radical ideologies yet connected to their own roots. Its strength lies in its acceptance of self and the ability to fight for its establishment. This is a static story with ever-changing time frames and characters. It belongs to today and will remain intact with its virtues in the times to come. The hybrids have emerged with time, continuing to establish themselves as an independent race - devoid of inhibitions but establishing a strong connection to where they belong.
The work involves acrylic paint on digital print, charcoal, spray paint and Indian popular stickers.
