About the Artist:

Without the ability to visualize change, there is no growth; my work is largely on the subject of growth situating it in my locale. It explores social, cultural, economical and political trends within a larger context of the globe, I mostly depict the impact of modernization on the traditions of my fore fathers and how the future generations are reacting to it. Symbolically I represent traditions of my society with historical African masks whereas trends of modernity are represented by modern metallic masks on characters painted in an expression art style with earthy acrylic colours on canvas.
