About the Artist: Jonathan Colbert is an up-and-coming photographer with an eye for beauty and an undeniable passion for capturing the world in a unique way, literally blurring the boundaries between reality and art. Based in Safety Harbor, FL, Jonathan's signature style has captured the attention of the world-wide art community.

Growing up just outside of Princeton, NJ, Jonathan was exposed to his father's artistic endeavors. The beauty of his dad's minimalist abstract landscape paintings adorned all of the walls in Jonathan's childhood home. His father instilled in him the tremendous value in creating art for oneself, but then sharing it for the world to see.

Jonathan has since applied his father's same creative spirit into photography. After experimenting with several different subjects and styles, he discovered intentional camera movement. "ICM" photography allows him to create unique and beautiful abstract images. By panning the camera while taking a long exposure, Jonathan is able to produce the blurred effect seen in most of his photographs, simultaneously capturing both motion and stillness.

Jonathan's unique approach and dedication have begun to pay off; his work has gained a strong following on the social media platform Instagram, and he was featured in three Tampa-area art shows in 2022. He was featured in an ICM Photography blog for B&H, one of the nation's largest retailers of photography equipment. His work is currently on display at Sweet Brewnette in Madeira Beach, FL, Dunedin Coffee Company in Dunedin, FL, and Grassroots Kava House in Seminole Heights, FL. His early success continued into 2023 when retailers TJ Maxx and Marshall's elected to carry his work on their websites.
