This Trademark artwork was inspired by my students - from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, in Florida. I had many years of conversations with students, on the beliefs they held on our country's ideal. They had such strong opinions as to what those ideals meant to them, that they enlisted ultimately into the Armed Forces, to fulfill their life's calling. I was so touched by these young adults,' making a life choice with such honor, passion, and commitment in protecting our democracy. They believed that every American had the right to live a safe, free, sovereign, independent life on American soil, that they were motivated to potentially sacrifice their own life, for this cause.

I already was compassionately influenced by the effects of war that it has on people's lives, growing up in the era of the Vietnam War. I had attended some Homefront meetings, with my family, during the Desert Storm War, in my area, to help in any way, I could. I was so humbled back then, to be in the presence of such incredible family members, meeting their personal challenges with such courage, love and support, for their family member participating in the war.

So, when my students started sharing their views, I was totally inspired with deep respect, for all the people throughout the ages, of their sacrifice and commitment to our nation's ideals, I started putting pencil to paper to illustrate their passion. I created a pictorial logo, using our nation's symbolic icons, to represent what I thought expressed the fundamental principles of our Constitution, that inspired such faith in the people throughout time.

This artwork is not a random design. It is my personal attempt to show with admiration, appreciation and love, to our ancestors, my students, and the people of the United States of America, how I feel. It's a pictographic script of the word America, incorporating special national icons, that I thought our forefathers imbued in their doctrine, when creating the soul of our new nation. I made this picture as a simple reminder of our original moral foundation of our country's Democratic tenets in action.
