About the Artist:

Olivia "ORB" Beelby is an artist (for life) and illustrator (for money) from Southeast Michigan, currently based in the Detroit area. They are fascinated by the ability to conjure illusions from marks on a surface and have been experimenting with this possibility ever since their kindergarten declaration that they would grow up to be an artist. Currently their artwork is heavily inspired by their time spent with young children, both the fantasy stories they weave and the ways they utilize media to illustrate them.

Additional Information:
While this piece speaks to the need for everyone to have room to create, and for us to collaborate on creating the world we envision into reality, the image comes from my everyday life. I work in the preschool setting where I'm often noodling with various sticks and grasses in the outdoor space, fashioning them into whatever tools are needed for dramatic play. A pickaxe, a wand, a crown. In this way it's also an exercise in familiarizing ourselves with our surroundings and seeing magic in simple things.

Shipping: Price includes shipping to buyers in the U.S. If buyer is outside the U.S., additional shipping charges may apply and will be calculated and payable after the sale and prior to shipment.
