This artwork is a reminder of where we came from, the sea and the sky. It is a fusion between the ocean and space, two very different places with a lot of similarities. My grandmother's mother was Indigenous, Cherokee. She tried to teach me many things when she was alive but I never understood until I grew and became aware of our disconnection to Earth. This painting is a reminder of our creator, not the white bearded man called god sitting in a golden chair in heaven, but the fertile and infinite loving Mother Nature which power of creation goes beyond our earth and knows nothing about discrimination, as we all go back to her earthy hands when our life comes to an end (which end only represents a new beginning).

Artist Statement:
I am a Mexican artist who's mission is to reconnect people to earth through vibrant and colourful depictions of nature, which I like to classify as portals.
