Additional Information: This work was done by hand embroidery, using colored thread and needle on white canvas. The shield has a tribal pattern, that celebrates the unique identity of indigenous people. The shield represents protection from anything harmful. Overall, this artwork represents the protection and celebration of the unique history and culture of indigenous people.

Artist Statement:

I am a visual artist using the skill of hand embroidery to display textured and unique artistic expressions on canvas. I also work on other styles such as sketching, photography and crochet for fiber arts. In addition to that, I am a co-founder of a creative community that provides a space for underrepresented artists to showcase their work on an online platform with exhibition-like experience, which allows them to grow, connect, collaborate and expand their customer base. I am inspired by this event, because of the exceptional opportunity to use my talents for a charitable cause. I believe through this experience, I will be able to not just participate, but also initiate more charity events in my career.
