About the Artist

Michael Kirst is an artist born and raised in Southern California. Having drawn ever since he could hold a pencil, Michael has studied and developed various artistic styles over his life. An accomplished illustrator utilizing many different mediums, Michael's passion today is abstract painting with an emphasis on portraiture. His unique style started gaining notoriety landing many of his original works in shows and fundraisers with a featured artist editorial in Aware Now Magazine. Oftentimes, Michael will add a message to a painting in order to generate intrigue and awareness to those viewing it. His work ethic lies in creating inspiration through an eternal optimism for life. Michael maintains a busy schedule with both family and painting, however, private commissions are always welcome. The artist is involved with several organizations aimed at teaching and healing and is proud to contribute to these organizations whenever he can. Michael calls Southern California home with his wife and children.
