Timothy Carvalho, a distinguished alum of LVA (class of 94') , is a visionary graphic designer whose creative brilliance knows no bounds. With an unwavering passion for visual storytelling, Timothy has carved a unique path, leaving an indelible mark through his innovative designs that seamlessly blend artistry and impact.

Tim, a Graphic Design Professional and Professor, will provide one Zoom Graphic Design Portfolio Coaching Session. Tim currently serves as a Tenure-Track Professor of Design at the University of Texas, Arlington where he leads the Graphic Design program within the Art and Art History Dept. His research focuses on topics of Creative Use of Technology, Interactive Brand Experiences, and Emerging Tech Developments to Impact Art & Design (AR/VR/XR/MR and AI). Additionally he is the Creative Director and Owner of his own design studio, Carvalho Creative and provides high-end Graphic Design and Advertising creative for clients/projects of all sizes. Tim earned an MFA in Advertising and an MA in Graphic Design from the Savannah College of Art & Design (SCAD), the premier University for design education.

Prior to joining UTA, Tim was creating and leading work for Google, Disney, and various other clients across a diverse range of industries. In addition, Tim recently served as a Professor at SCAD teaching Advertising, Branding, UX/UI Design, Typography, and Creative Technology.
