3 Single Fried Eggs (Wall), from the project "LIVESTRONG", 2015 - 2018. Paint, epoxy resin and fiberglass on plaster. Sizes variable. Christopher Chiappa's conceptually informed work addresses the anxiety and futility of daily life through personal experience. His 'Fried Egg' series explores the possibilities of personal compulsions and obsessive repetitions. He drips white and yellow enamel paint from walnut sticks onto hardwood panels, a precarious process that renders each egg unique and imperfect. The work can be displayed flat or hung on a wall. Included with sculpture: screw, ball of museum wax and hanging instructions.

Christopher Chiappa (b. West Chester, PA) received his BA from Middlebury College & attended the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture. He has held solo exhibitions at Kate Werble Gallery, New York, NY; TOPS, Memphis; SCAD Museum of Art; the Art-in-Buildings Program, Time Equities, Inc., NYC; MASS MoCA; Fredericks & Freiser, NYC &Jessica Fredericks, NYC.
