The artwork I have created is based on a verse from Jewish tradition, "the human being is akin to trees in the field". Just as a tree must withstand all of the elements in nature, different seasons and the extreme changes, so must a human being withstand the challenges and changes of life. After speaking with Sara and learning about how she dealt with cancer and her love for nature, I wanted to create an art piece that represented this quote.
